3rd Global AEO Conference

Description

Today, the Authorized Economic Operator Programme (AEO) is widely acknowledged as a key driver for a solid Customs-business partnership, transparent and predictable trading environment and in a wider context, leading to economic prosperity.

Back in 2012, during the 1st Global AEO Conference the list of countries implementing AEO as well as various compliance programmes and the Authorised Operator scheme under the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) has expanded significantly. At the same time the number of Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) signed and being negotiated has doubled.

This positive dynamics demonstrates increased engagement of all relevant stakeholders and provides a basis for a harmonised approach in a view of achieving mutual and plurilateral recognition agreements.

The 3rd Global AEO Conference provides unique opportunity for all those interested to examine challenges of today and opportunities ahead of AEO on national, regional and global level.

The theme for the 3rd Global AEO Conference – The Evolution of Security in Global Trade: Great partners, Innovative technology and Smart practices – provides an excellent opportunity for discussing dynamic developments of the AEO in the light of global security concerns. The Conference will also highlight the increasing role of digital technology that transforms the way Customs and business operate, providing enhanced solutions for international trade supply chain and economic growth.
